In its ruling of 8 July 2020, the Federal Court of Justice again ruled on tenant and landlord obligations in the context of carrying out cosmetic repairs when leaving an unrenovated apartment. According to this ruling, the landlord may be obliged to renovate the apartment, but the tenant may have to contribute to the costs of doing so.
